1. Driver pickups from and or deliveries to businesses and local residential areas. This involves screening donated items for recycle or resale for for usability; loading/unloading and moving material, equipment, appliances, etc. by hand and using basic material handling equipment; ensuring the security of loads and the vehicle; and maintaining a log of activities. 2. Driver to complete pre-trip inspections, carrying out basic maintenance, and reporting serious maintenance problems and safety issues of ReStore truck to the Manager. 3. Be professional and courteous to customers demonstrating as an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North. Present a favorable appearance in dress and deal with donors/customers/others in a friendly, courteous manner. 4. Receive direction on the pickup priorities from the Manager and determine the most efficient pick up route for time management. 5. Distribute the items picked up and those delivered by donors themselves within the store and organize the storage yard to optimize space and display. 6. Test appliances, electronics and tools and make minor repairs, as well assist team with cleaning and small repairs to furniture and assist customers on sales floor. 7. Train and supervise volunteers working in receiver and sales floor.
