Mowi Canada West is currently recruiting for a Remote Operations Centre (ROC)Manager to join our Saltwater team in Klemtu, BC. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Remote Operations Centre(ROC) and play a key role in supporting safe, efficient, and effective feeding operations across multiple marine sites. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with site teams and support departments to support fish welfare, operational excellence, and production goals. Located within the territory of the Kitasoo Xai'xais Nation and surrounded by the Great Bear Rainforest, Klemtu offers a unique opportunity to work in one of British Columbia's most spectacular coastal environments. This is a fly-in camp shift position, with company provided air transportation to and from Campbell River. Responsibilities: • Lead and oversee all aspects of remote feeding operations • Develop and implement feeding plans that support fish welfare and production objectives • Ensure adherence to Mowi Canada West policies, safety procedures, and environmental standards • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment • Ensure feeding records, operational logs, and reports are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company requirements • Develop and manage short- and long-term operational plans, including budgeting and forecasting • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders Salary: $76,000 - $100,000 We offer competitive wages, a comprehensive extended health care benefits package, annual incentive bonus and pension plan. Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications: • 3 to 5 years of experience in salmon aquaculture • Post-secondary education in aquaculture is preferred; however, equivalent industry experience will also be considered • Experience with feeding operations, feeding technology, and environmental monitoring systems is considered an asset • Understanding of fish feeding behaviour, feeding strategies, and production practices. • Demonstrated leadership experience with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills • Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced operational environment Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, and other industry-related software • Experience with artificial intelligence systems, such as Observe, is an asset • Willingness to travel regularly to remote locations as required
