If you are looking for a Monday - Friday position in a fast paced work environment this is the job for you. Work includes deliveries of LTL freight and prebuilt orders to locations all over the North Island. Below is a summary of the expectations for truck drivers:
- Maintain a professional appearance by following company dress code and health and safety requirements, including wearing steel-toed footwear and required high-visibility PPE.
- Operate company vehicles safely, perform daily pre-trip inspections, keep trucks clean, and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Complete minor vehicle maintenance as required including greasing truck and follow company approval procedures for major repairs and tire replacements.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse by properly storing products, equipment, pallets, and tools, and preparing orders for the next day's deliveries.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure equipment is charged and stored correctly.
- Complete deliveries accurately and on schedule while providing courteous, professional customer service.
- Verify orders, obtain required signatures, document damages, and accurately complete delivery, return, and dangerous goods paperwork.
- Use handheld devices and company systems to record deliveries, pickups, and arrival/departure times.
- Accurately complete timecards and delivery documentation to support billing, inventory control, and regulatory compliance.
- Follow company security procedures by securing vehicles, equipment, and warehouse facilities at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a high standard of organization, accountability, and teamwork to ensure efficient daily operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
Must have Class 5 drivers license. Experience with fork lift and electric pallet jack is an asset. Preference will be given to drivers with experience.
