Peninsula Co-op is inviting applications for the position of Shift Supervisor, for our Ironwood Fuel and Convenience Centre located at 940 Ironwood Street, Campbell River, BC V9W 5K7. This role is a permanent full-time opportunity offering 32 - 40 hours of work per week. Rain, wind, snow and blazing hot sun mean nothing. • Are the first point of contact for staff, ensuring they have what they need to succeed • Address performance concerns professionally and uphold safety and service standards • Are good with numbers and can handle cash and other basic numerical calculations quickly and accurately. • Able to be on their feet nearly all of their shift & consistently handling product (1 to 40 pounds). • Look out for their safety and the safety of others. • Value integrity and honesty; someone to admire and emulate. • Know their way around under the hood of a car is also helpful, but not essential - we train for this. • Confidently step in for management when needed and help protect people, environment, and property WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Supporting the Manager and the Assistant Manager, the Shift Supervisor acts in a leadership capacity to ensure the effective operation of the department. Key areas of responsibility include ensuring a pleasant, comfortable, and safe shopping experience for our customers; being a role model for the team and providing support to enable them to do their jobs and develop their skills.
