in Klemtu. The Klemtu area is our saltwater production location nestled in Finlayson
Channel and surrounded by the Great Bear Rainforest; the area is a hidden treasure
known for its breathtaking scenery and abundance of wildlife. This position will be at a
saltwater site located within the territory of the Kitasoo Xai’Xais Peoples.
The successful applicant will lead a team of individuals who are passionate about
environmental sustainability and passionate about growing our fish in a safe, ethical,

• Working in a remote camp is required for this position.
• Wage: $74,000 to $98,000

Qualifications & Experience
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in salmon farming plus post-secondary
education in aquaculture or similar field. An equivalent combination of education
and experience may be considered.
• Managing daily operations of the site including site safety, site and equipment
maintenance and all aspects of personnel management and fish husbandry.
• Short and long-term planning and budget development.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines for
production.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills (i.e. approachable, empathetic) including the ability to
develop effective relationships and successfully resolve conflict situations.
• Computer proficiency and able to use excel, AquaFarmer and other systems for
reporting and administration.
• The ability to work safely and effectively in challenging environmental conditions.
