Tasks:
•Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment.
•Manage feed inventory activities.
•Work with honey bees.
•Perform general farm duties.
•Work location: on the road. Work locations may vary; frequent or constant travel is required.
•Work site environment: hot and outdoors. Rural setting. Relocation costs are not covered by the employer.
•Schedule: early morning, evening, flexible hours, morning, night, day and weekend.
•Work conditions and physical capabilities: attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, physically demanding work and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
•English required; Spanish is an asset.
•No degree, certificate or diploma required.
•Five years or more of experience.
•Apiary and honey harvesting experience: apiary management; automated honey extractor; detecting bee diseases; hypothesizing possible causes and solutions to colony collapse disorder (CCD) based on knowledge of bee behaviour, biology and caste system; managing bee colonies for honey production and pollination; treating bees with antibiotics.
•Equipment and machinery experience: bulk handling system, tractor and truck.
•Valid driver's licence and ability to drive a manual-transmission vehicle. Driver's licence validity check required.
•Personal suitability: excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organization and teamwork.
