What We're Looking For
-Dependable, punctual and committed to the scheduled shifts.
-A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
-Someone who takes initiative, notices what needs doing and helps without always being asked.
-Comfortable with standing, lifting, cleaning and working in a physically active environment.
-Able to follow instructions, maintain food safety standards and work as part of a team.
-Interested in developing cooking and food preparation skills.
-Kind, respectful and comfortable working around older adults and people with complex health needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous kitchen experience is an asset, but not required. We are happy to train the right person.
Experience working in seniors' care is also an asset, but what matters most is understanding that Evergreen is someone's home. Respect, patience and compassion are expected from everyone on our team.
