BC’s provincial election is coming up on October 24. Working for Elections BC during the election is a great way to give back to your community and support democracy in BC.
Are you comfortable working with computers and technology and enjoy solving technical problems? Elections BC is seeking to fill Election Equipment Officer (EEO) technical roles in Campbell River.
EEOs will work in a team to set up and test voting equipment, computers, software, and networks, provide technical troubleshooting support, and help ensure election operations run smoothly and accurately. The ideal candidate has demonstrated computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records working under tight deadlines in a confidential manner. The position requires the ability to safely lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to set up physical computer and networking equipment, and to help decommission and package office equipment for shipping.
Compensation: $26.40 per hour.
Jobs are available immediately. Full-time Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Some additional hours or evening shifts may be required.
