Details
Jobsite Location: Campbell River Expected Start Date: October 2026 Duration: 10-12 months Job Tasks • Attend morning jobsite meeting to discuss day’s activities and safety concerns • Use of hand tools including shovels and push brooms • Assist in installation of all pipe, manholes etc with exceptional workmanship • Cut and bevel all types of pipe • Assist in pressure testing all water and sewer mains • Assist in mandrelling all conduit/ducting • Assist in installation of shoring or trench cages in excavations as required • Organize necessary tools for the days’ work at the beginning of the shift • Assist Foreman and Pipelayers in setting up lasers or levels, and establishing layout for the day • Do as you are instructed by your supervisor, provided it is safe to do so, and you understand what is required. If you have questions - ask • Ensure that all equipment that is not functioning properly is reported to your supervisor. Fuel and oil all equipment at start of shift • Inspect the site at the end of the shift to make sure no tools have been left out • Keep jobsite and all tool sheds clean and tidy • Ensure that all open excavation, manholes, and equipment are adequately delineated and barricaded • Attend and participate in all tailgate meetings, topics, concerns • Ensure that yourself or any other worker entering a confined space has been properly trained and understand the procedures for entering a confined space • Abide by the requirements containing in the Stone Pacific Contracting Ltd. safety manual
Qualifications & Experience
Necessary Skills & Qualifications • Have a thorough understanding of Stone Pacific Contracting Ltd. safety manual • Have a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate company vehicles • Be able to write clearly and legibly • Basic knowledge of pipe types and fittings • Basic skills in working with concrete; be able to mix grout and bench manholes
