MNP LTD. Receiver and Manager of Quinsam Coal Corporation (QCC) is seeking an Environmental Sampler to join our team at the mine site. QCC is an underground coal mine (currently in care and maintenance) located 28 km outside Campbell River on Vancouver Island.
Protecting the environment and ensuring compliance with the effluent permit for regulatory reporting are the primary outcomes of all environmental monitoring activities at QCC.
The anticipated work schedule is two 10-hour days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
• Prepare sample bottles for field collection, including labelling and documentation.
• Collect water samples for laboratory analysis to ensure compliance with environmental
• regulations.
• Aid in daily tasks within the Environmental Department.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications and Skills
• Physically capable of performing fieldwork, including hiking over uneven terrain and lifting
• up to 40 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and in remote locations.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in sample collection and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Previous environmental sampling or fieldwork experience is preferred.
