Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Packager to join our sea salt production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and packaging food products in accordance with safety standards and company procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in food safety and production processes, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards throughout the packaging process. Prior experience in food production or related fields is advantageous but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Duties
• Accurately package our sea salt products following specified guidelines and standards
• Ensure all packaging materials meet quality and safety requirements, including HACCP protocols
• Operate packaging machinery efficiently and safely, with mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting minor issues
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area to uphold hygiene standards
• Record production data accurately, including quantities packed and any discrepancies
• Assist in inventory management by tracking packaging supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
• Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including adherence to food safety practices
Qualifications & Experience
Full time employment. Must have reliable transportation.
Experience
• Previous experience in food production or packaging is desirable but not mandatory
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is advantageous
• Mechanical knowledge or experience operating packaging machinery is a plus
• Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and recording data accurately
• Ability to work efficiently within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new skills and adhere strictly to safety protocols
