Assistant Manager - Saltwater (Klemtu) We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join our Klemtu Saltwater team. This position is based in Klemtu, BC, with company-provided transportation from Campbell River. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role is a vital part of our farming process to grow our salmon in a sustainable and efficient way. The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with site operations to ensure a safe and positive work environment. Qualifications & Experience
• Grade 12 plus over four years’ experience in salmon farming, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A post-secondary aquaculture certificate or diploma is preferred. • Ability to work safely and effectively in challenging environmental conditions. Strong background in feed and environmental risk management. • Demonstrated skills and experience in providing leadership to a team of staff and supporting all aspects of personnel management. • Good critical thinking, decision-making skills, and sound judgment. • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines. • Good communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., approachable, empathetic), including the ability to develop effective relationships and successfully resolve conflict situations. Proficient computer skills (e.g., Aqua Farmer, word processing, and spreadsheets). Highly motivated, with a positive outlook and attitude towards work.
