Are you looking for a great job this summer? Are you interested in sharing knowledge about Cortes Island with visitors, learning about and assisting with the Museum’s exhibitions and programs, and providing customer service in our Museum Shop? The Cortes Island Museum & Archives Society is hiring a seasonal Host/Interpreter for our busiest time of year. Throughout the summer months, the Museum buzzes as visitors seek information, explore the exhibitions, and attend special events.
We are looking for a mature, friendly, self-reliant person. This position runs from mid-June through the end of August, with a potential extension to the end of September, depending on the applicant’s availability.
• Where: Cortes Island Museum, 957 Beesley Road
• Date: Mid-June (flexible) through the end of August (or longer)
• Wage & Hours: $23.00/hour, 35 hours/week
Position:
Welcome visitors, share information about exhibitions and programs, and provide customer service at our Visitor Info booth and shop. The work setting is relaxed and lively, offering an excellent opportunity to learn about museums and local history, meet people, and get involved in special events.
