) Details
Light housekeeping is provided, on average, 1 hour a week per client. Tasks can include any of the following:
•Sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming
•Cleaning kitchen counters and sink
•Cleaning/sanitizing bathroom tub/shower/toilet/sink
•Dusting (windowsills, window tracks, baseboards, tables and chairs)
•Emptying trash cans
•Wiping the exterior of small and large appliances, cabinets, door knobs, light plates, mirrors
•Working with the client so they may participate as much as they can or are willing to.
Housekeepers are not responsible for cleaning inside large appliances, deep cleaning, moving furniture, reorganizing, packing or unpacking from moving, heavy lifting, handling of dangerous our unknown chemical agents, working on a ladder or at high heights, construction clean up, handling animal or human biohazards, wiping or cleaning any type of medical equipment
Qualifications & Experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Physical ability to carry out duties
•Have own reliable vehicle in good working order
•Friendly, approachable, reliable, and professional
The Better At Home program will require photocopies of the following to be kept on file:
•Criminal Record Check
•2 (non-family) references
•Clean drivers abstract
•Vehicle inspection
HOURS
•Service is provided on weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm, not including STAT holidays
•Weekly schedule is decided up between client and contractor, and reported to the coordinator
EXPENSES
•Cleaning supplies and equipment are provided by the client
•Vehicle mileage will not be reimbursed
