Brown’s Bay Resort and Marina is seeking a reliable, hands-on Marina Operations Supervisor to oversee daily marina operations and ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming waterfront experience for our guests. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with marine experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day marina operations, including docks, moorage, fuel dock, and waterfront facilities
Ensure safe vessel traffic, mooring practices, and compliance with marina rules and safety standards
Lead, train, and schedule marina staff; provide clear direction and on-site supervision
Assist guests with moorage, docking, fueling, and marina-related inquiries
Conduct regular dock inspections and coordinate minor repairs and maintenance
Monitor weather conditions and respond appropriately to changing marine conditions
Enforce marina policies in a professional and guest-focused manner
Coordinate with resort management, maintenance, and front desk teams as needed
Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly and effectively
Maintain accurate records related to moorage, incidents, and daily operations
Seasonal full time position with potential for extension to year round employment

Combination of weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts
Outdoor, waterfront setting in a resort environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in marina operations, marine services, or waterfront supervision preferred
- Strong knowledge of boating practices, marine safety, and dock operations
- Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations
- Physically capable of working outdoors, lifting equipment, and assisting with vessels
- Experience using reservation and marina management systems to manage moorage availability, guest records, and daily operations
- Ability to enter, update, and maintain accurate reservation data
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems for marina supplies, fuel, and operational materials
- Ability to place inventory and supply orders, monitor stock levels, and coordinate purchasing with management
- Basic proficiency with spreadsheets for tracking inventory usage, deliveries, and reorders
- Comfortable using email and internal systems to communicate ordering needs and confirmations
- Strong attention to detail when handling reservations, invoices, and purchase documentation
- Valid Marine Emergency Duties (MED) certification or willingness to obtain
- First Aid certification preferred
