Mowi Canada West is seeking a Fry and First Feed Supervisor to join our Fresh water team, based at Big Tree Creek & Dalrymple Hatcheries. Reporting to the Hatchery Managers and Assistant Managers, the Fry and First Feed Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and daily operation of the First Feed systems. This hands-on role supervises and works alongside a small team of hatchery technicians to oversee daily feed activities and contribute to producing top quality product in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Qualifications & Experience
• Grade 12 plus 2 years of experience in salmon farming or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Post-secondary aquaculture certificate or diploma preferred.
• Good critical thinking abilities, decision making abilities, and sound judgement.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate daily activities, manage competing priorities, and meet production timelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships and support the resolution of day-to-day workplace issues.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g. Aquafarmer, word processing, spreadsheets &databases
