Island Health is seeking an Indigenous Liaison Nurse to support Indigenous clients and communities in both hospital and community settings. This role provides culturally safe care, advocacy, health teaching, case management, and liaison services within a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: • Provide nursing care for Indigenous clients with diverse health needs • Support culturally safe care and advocate for Indigenous health and wellness • Collaborate with community partners and healthcare teams • Travel to communities may be required Island Health acknowledges with respect and humility the Coast Salish, Nuuchah-Nulth and Kwakwaka'wakw People on whose unceded traditional territories we offer our services and programs. Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications: • RN/RPN registration with BCCNM • Minimum 2 years’ experience with Indigenous communities • Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, history, and health systems • Strong communication, teamwork, and cultural safety skills • Valid BC Driver’s License • Priority access may be given to Indigenous candidates.
