Position Summary

As our company continues to grow, we are looking to add a dedicated Shop Technician to our team. Reporting to the Shop Manager, this role is key in assembling equipment and products according to drawings and work orders. We’re seeking someone with a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and accountability who thrives in a collaborative warehouse environment. The Shop Technician will use their knowledge and hands-on experience to complete a variety of tasks efficiently and accurately, contributing to our ongoing success.

-Assemble products according to drawings and desired specs using hand and power tools
-Working with piping, including assembling and welding threaded and grooved pipe, and HDPE pipe welding.
-Operating in and around engines.
-Conducting quality checks, testing, and commissioning of products.
-Operating equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts.
-Performing general manufacturing shop tasks related to material handling, cleanup, and tool and machinery operations.
-Collaborating with the team to meet production schedules.
-Ensuring organization and security in stockrooms.
-Participating in periodic inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
-Undertaking any other duties as required.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Qualifications & Experience
Experience in fabrication and assembly of manufactured threaded and grooved pipe.
-Knowledge and experience in pipefitting and would be considered an asset but not required.
-Technical and mechanical aptitude with a keen focus on safety.
-Familiarity with mechanical tools and working in and around engines.
-Valid BC Driver’s License and steel toes boots are essential.
-Previous experience in a similar shop or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
-Training and certification for forklift operation, First Aid, WHIMIS is an asset, however, we will provide these and any other necessary requirements.
