Position Summary
As an Automation Technician in our shop, you will play a key role in assembling, integrating, and com-missioning automated systems that power our Life Support products. You will collaborate with our engineering and fabrication teams to bring these technologies to life, ensuring each unit meets Poseidon’s stringent performance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret automation schematics and electrical diagrams to assemble control panels, wiring harnesses, and related components.
• Install automation hardware and software in systems such as compressors, oxygen generation units and oxygen diffusers.
• Performing general manufacturing shop tasks related to material handling, cleanup, and tool and machinery operations.
• Conduct functional testing and calibration of automated systems; troubleshoot electrical or programming issues.
• Operating equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Ensure all wiring, grounding, and panel layout adhere to industrial safety standards and best practices.
• Support commissioning and testing alongside engineering and production teams.
• Document assembly procedures, electrical drawings, configuration files, and testing logs clearly and thoroughly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to optimize design for manufacturability, test-ability, and serviceability.
• Undertaking any other duties as required.
• Uphold health, safety, and quality standards within the shop environment.
