Tla’amin Lake Contracting (TLC) is seeking an experienced Log Loader / Hoe Chucker Operator to join our team in the qathet Region. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading timber, supporting smooth site operations, and maintaining equipment in top working condition.
This role requires strong experience in logging operations, steep slope work, and loading processes. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically knowledgeable, and a collaborative team player.
Key Duties:
• Operate heavy equipment such as a log loader
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow strict safety protocols and best practices
• Attend safety training and site meetings
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors
• Perform routine equipment maintenance checks
• Complete daily electronic timecards
• Accurately document and report discrepancies
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a Hoe Chucker & Log Loader
• Proficiency in loading/unloading timber with heavy equipment
• Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting issues
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills
