Location: Port Hardy, British Columbia

K'awat'si Construction Company is seeking experienced Red Seal Carpenters to join our growing team in Port Hardy, BC.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
Work closely with the Site Superintendent to create schedules and monitor crew attendance
Allocate daily responsibilities and supervise work progress
Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
Ensure adequate manpower and resources
Oversee the use of machinery and equipment
Monitor expenditures and help maintain budget
Resolve on-site issues as they arise
Report progress to Managers and Superintendents
Lead a crew of 5–10 carpenters on construction projects
Oversee framing, cribbing, and finishing tasks
Assign and complete tasks as needed
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
Maintain accurate QA/QC reports and follow-ups

Pay: $40.00-$44.00 per hour

Qualifications & Experience
15+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Red Seal Certification (mandatory)
Valid driver’s license
In-depth knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and specifications
Strong understanding of modern construction methods and practices
Proven ability to manage and negotiate effectively
Skilled in project planning and scheduling
Familiar with construction budgeting and cost control
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Ability to identify constructability issues and recommend practical solutions
Computer proficiency, especially in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project) and Procore
Applicable machinery operation tickets (an asset)
Certificate, diploma, or university degree (an asset)

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Physical stamina to perform tasks in varying weather conditions
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
