The ideal candidate for this position thrives in a busy atmosphere, is an adaptable team player who can jump in and assist their team where needed, and has experience as a supervisor in the restaurant industry.
Located in the traditional territories of the Kwakiutl people; “Kwa’lilas” translates to “a place to sleep”. Named by the Gwa’sala-Nakwaxda’xw elders in hopes that guests may find peaceful rest after a day of exploration on North Vancouver Island.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day operations in the nax’id’ pub and ensure compliance of all company standards to increase all sales and control operating costs
Train all staff to execute the highest standard of customer service.
Assist staff on the floor and cover serving shifts as needed in Nax'id' pub or Ha'me' Restaurant
Submit regular product orders and requisitions to the Hospitality Manager to ensure a sufficient supply of inventory for non-disruptive service.
Submit weekly schedules for all pub staff while considering reasonable time off requests made by employees.
Maintain customer satisfaction by monitoring and evaluating offerings. Ensure a timely and present response to all customer complaints and concern.
Complete human resources objectives in the pub by orienting, training, assigning, coaching, and disciplining staff, as well as enforcing policies and procedures.
Maintain optimal level of sanitary procedures for all food handling and service areas, ensuring optimal quality of all food and beverage service.
Comply with all Food Safe and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
Manage all shifts for food and beverage operations and schedule all processes. Assist in resolving internal affairs or employee relations issues as they arise.
Any other duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Director, or General Manager as they arise.
