Summary:
NICSS Family Life Program, is looking for a person-centered team member who applies a strength-based approach to working with at-risk clients. The successful applicant will work as part of a collaborative team supporting children, youth, and families to establish and achieve sustainable goals, with the intent to encourage personal growth, healthy relationships, and situational change. You will provide both-in home and community based services. This includes supporting reunification, stabilizing crisis situations, providing a range of skill development strategies, including parenting, home management, communication, child development and life skills. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting individuals to access other community resources.

The Ideal Candidate will:
- Excel at developing trust-based and supportive relationships with team members, clients, extended family, community partners, and government agencies, including local Indigenous governments.
- Possess excellent assessment, interviewing, crisis intervention, and case management skills.
- Have post-secondary education/experience in Human Services, Child and Youth Care or related field.
- Practice a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, ethics, and good judgement.
- Prove to be an effective communicator (oral, written and listening) with a strong awareness of cross-cultural practices, traditions, and values.
- Be familiar with other community resources and have a working knowledge of the legal system, including court proceedings.
- Be experienced in group facilitation, outreach, conflict resolution, and person-centered planning, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Class 5 Driver's License, clean abstract and reliable vehicle
- Approved Criminal Records Check
- Grade 12
- Level 1 first aid
