Carpenter
CV Cedar Sales & Fencing in Black Creek is seeking a Carpenter (Red Seal or other Course Certification not required). You’ll build nice, durable fence panels and gates using cedar and corrugated metal. Training will be provided. This is an indoor job (no jobs in the rain/snow/heat). The ideal candidate will have some carpentry/construction experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Work on a wide variety of projects. No two days are alike.
No overtime required. Ideally, hours are Mon–Fri, 8 am-4:30 pm. We will consider employing part-time for the right person at any stage in their work life. We’re a small, friendly team. Free parking is available. Wage range $21 to $25 depending on experience and ability.
Responsibilities
• Develop your carpentry skills and knowledge through hands-on experience
• Gather materials, make accurate measurements and precision cuts
• Cut, rip, and plane lumber
• Build CV Cedar’s premium fence panels and gates
• Meet quality standards
• Keep the work area organized and clean
• Maintain positive relationships with staff and customers
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols
• The role may include some lumber yard duties, such as receiving and racking lumber and other job materials, at times.
