outdoors and delighting customers, this position may be for you!
We are dedicated to preserving the timeless art of sport fishing while nurturing the next generation of
anglers. Our mission is to provide an unparalleled luxury fishing experience that not only immerses our
guests in the natural beauty of our surroundings but also instills a deep appreciation for fishing and the
environment.
This full-time position has a contract length subject to change based on the demands of the
season. Let us know your availability between May 1 – Sept 30!
Get to know us:
Drive west along one of the most scenic highways in Canada through the spectacular mountainous
landscape of Strathcona Park and the village of Gold River towards Tahsis. Approximately 2 hours by
road from Campbell River on Vancouver Island is Moutcha Bay Resort, on the waters of Nootka Sound.
Duties of Groundskeeper:
• Perform landscaping projects as assigned, including trimming trees, hedges and shrubs, weeding and mulching landscape beds, removing unwanted, dead, or damaged trees, planting shrubs, flowers, and trees, and watering gardens and landscapes.
• Collection, transportation, and disposal of waste at local landfill as scheduled.
• Travel to Gold River and/or Courtenay to complete water sample submissions as scheduled.
• Perform daily checks of maintenance systems, following standard processes and procedures.
• Check, maintain, and refill propane, gas and diesel fuel.
• Clean and/or power wash walkways, equipment, decks and building surfaces.
• Use and maintain tools such as weed-whackers, power washers, chain saws, and other hand tools.
• Unload and load deliveries.
• General “handyman” duties (i.e. hanging pictures, replacing light bulbs, etc.)

Requirements for Groundskeeper:
• Valid driver’s license and abstract
• Minimum 1 year experience with power and hand tools, equipment operation and maintenance
• Ability to work independently and with little supervision
• WHMIS certification
• Push, pull and lift object up to 50 lbs
