Position Summary
The HR Generalist will support the Director of Human Resources by handling essential HR functions with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. This role involves overseeing early recruitment processes, assisting with staff issues, maintaining HR records, and supporting strategic HR initiatives. The HR Generalist will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations and contributing to a positive organizational culture.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Recruitment and Hiring:
Conduct intro calls, vetting, and reviewing of resumes.
Meet with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and assist in candidate selection.
Check references and distribute employment contracts.
Prepare hiring and onboarding packages for new employees.
Employee Relations and Support:
Meet with staff to discuss issues, address grievances, and provide support.
Assist with succession planning and strategy planning initiatives.
Facilitate entry-level training and onboarding sessions.
HR Administration and Documentation:
Maintain and update HR files, including physical and digital records for employee documents, benefits, and attendance.
Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, and warning letters.
Review and update HR policies to ensure compliance with labor standards.
Communication and Reporting:
Share information effectively with employees and job applicants, demonstrating excellent speaking and listening skills.
Report on HR initiatives and support the Director of Human Resources in strategic planning and execution.
Handle internal and external inquiries, escalating issues to the Director of Human Resources as necessary.

Education and Experience:
Education in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of applicable or transferable experience.
Experience in facilitation or public speaking.
Knowledge of project management principles or HR software.
Familiarity with various communication platforms, especially recruiting platforms.
Must be willing to learn and be open to feedback
