Campbell River Literacy Association offers a volunteer-led adult literacy tutoring program. Using a learner centered approach, our program provides curriculum to volunteer tutors as they support adult learners whose skills in reading, writing and math are at a lower level, or for ELL (English Language Learning) learners wanting to improve their skills in reading, writing and pronunciation. Our learners may wish to build their life skills, or they may be working toward goals in formal education or employment. These learning opportunities are offered free of charge, thanks to funding from the Province of British Columbia.
Time commitment is typically one hour per week.
Enrich the life of an adult learner by becoming a tutor. The experience will change your life.
