The Role…
This role is part of a province-wide initiative that uses innovative, evidence-based approaches to delivering integrated youth services in BC. The Youth Employment Specialist position reports to Regional Manager, Client Services and provides comprehensive employment services through Foundry Work and Education program to youth aged 15 – 24 years who are accessing services at Foundry Port Hardy (North Island Crisis and Counselling) and/or through NIEFS WorkBC Employment Services. The role includes engaging youth in determining employment and education needs, service planning, facilitation, supported referrals, ongoing employment counselling and support, job development, job coaching and job maintenance that improves employability and supports ongoing employment and/or education outcomes. This position will support youth in their journey towards sustained employment or education through various service delivery channels including in-person, outreach and virtual. Utilizing a client-centered approach the individual will work alongside clients to identify strengths, skills and abilities and address barriers to the achievement of employment, education and community connection goals. This position is also responsible for taking personal initiative for staying up to date and following both Foundry and NIEFS policies to ensure client
confidentiality, accurate data entry and documentation standards.

-Work with youth to assess their employment, education and employability goals, needs, challenges, strengths and resources and develop a comprehensive plan to address employment, education, life skills and other employment-related goals to find/maintain work, enter or return to education,

•Provide follow up services once client has achieved independence, education/training or employment;
•Document, report and maintain case records of contacts, services delivered and outcomes achieved (including best practices and success stories) as required by law and as specified by Foundry, NIEFS and WorkBC Employment Services and associated funding
organizations.
-Engage with businesses to promote the hiring of youth and facilitate employment opportunities based on youth’s interests and goals. Support youth to successfully find and maintain meaningful employment through proactive Job Development services including marketing, networking and Job Coaching support as needed. Collaborate with youth and employers to create on-the-job training plans and strategies for thriving in the world of work.
-Develop relationships with community service providers, educational institutions and stakeholders to facilitate holistic integrated service delivery characterized with a ‘warm’ referral process where youth’s self-determination is prioritized.

Job Description: Payroll Specialist

Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time in compliance with company policies and applicable legislation. This part-time position plays a key role in maintaining payroll records, preparing related reports, and supporting the overall financial operations of Quatsino Economic Development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees
• Maintain and update payroll records, timesheets, and personnel changes
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment standards, tax laws, and company policies
• Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs), T4s, and other year-end documentation as required
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits deductions, and leave
balances

PAL Technical Services is currently seeking a Full-Time Aircraft Groomer position in Campbell River, BC.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cleaning the interior of the aircraft between flights to ensure an optimal customer service experience for the following flight;
- Ensuring the aircraft cabin is equipped for flight according to specifications and standards of cabin servicing supplies;
- Cleaning the aircraft exterior;
- Cleaning the interior of aircraft including:

The Role…
The Employment Counsellor – Resource Centre position reports to the Regional Manager, Client Services and works closely with the Client Services Coordinators to provide employment services to unemployed and/or underemployed people. This position is part of a coordinated client engagement team supporting the Front Desk and Resource Centre. This role provides support to a diverse range of clients (including those who may have multiple barriers to employment) accessing self-serve services in the busy Resource Centre including: providing support to clients working on the computer and accessing phone and photocopying; making referrals to support clients in their transition to employment; assisting with self-serve workshops; posting employer job postings and providing regular rotating coverage at the front desk. This position is familiar with various service delivery channels including virtual and WorkBC Centres and uses a client-centered approach to service delivery. This position is responsible for taking personal initiative for staying up to date and following WorkBC Policy and ICM requirements to ensure accurate data entry and documentation standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Regular and rotating coverage at the front desk and in the Resource Centre as part of the client engagement team;
• Ensure users of the Resource Centre are using facilities for job search related activities;
• Maintain the security precautions and routines of the Resource Centre;
• Facilitate the delivery of self-serve employment related workshops (i.e. resume building; cover letters; interview skills; labour market information, essential skills etc.) through virtual and in-person means;
• Provide support for clients registering for a BCeid and accessing the Online Employment Services portal which all clients are required to complete (self-serve or case managed);
• Provide support and assistance to self-serve clients of the Resource Centre in accessing job postings, using the computer lab, word processing, Internet, occupational and labour market information, academic/re-training information, etc;
• Assist clients in resume and cover letter preparation;
• Assist clients to research employers in the community that are suitable for clients' abilities and interests for either paid or volunteer work;
• Maintain up-to-date information and resources in the Resource Centre;
• Take job posting information from employers and post job postings on physical and online job board;
• Assist with compilation and updating of local labour market information;
• Ensure the Resource Centre is organized and a professional working space;
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Assist with community networking (i.e. building lines of support and making cross-referrals with other social and educational agencies).

• Proficient using technology and computer skills associated with group facilitation, case management and job search including internet, email, smart phones, MS Office Word, PowerPoint or other presentation software.
• Advanced keyboarding skills and ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Certification as a Career Development Professional (CCDP) or actively working towards certification.
• A post-secondary certificate, degree, or diploma in a relevant field (e.g. career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education or human resource management).
