Details
Available Position: Red Seal Electrician/Journeyperson

Duties include but are not limited to:
· Install safety and distribution components
· Read and interpret electrical drawings, Canadian Electrical Code, and project specifications
· Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
· Installing and commissioning electrical circuits according to the single line diagram drawings
· Keep accurate records of material used and proper documentation on work orders relating to the installation
· Utilizing fall protection systems and fall arrest equipment, setting and removing temporary roof anchors
· Capable of performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
· Working at heights, utilizing ladders, and operating GEDA Ladder lift and mobile elevated work platforms
· Promote safe working conditions by participating in the Hakai H&S program, adhering to occupational health and safety regulations
· Mobilizing work vehicles, equipment, and materials
· Maintaining organization and leadership with efficiency and accuracy
· Other duties as needed/requested

· 3-month probation period

· This is not a remote position; candidates will be required to report daily in Victoria
· Travel to and from project sites will be conducted in company vehicles

Qualifications & Experience
Requirements:
· 2-3 years experience leading projects and crews of 2-4 people
· Ability to read and interpret the Canadian Electrical Code
· Working knowledge of electrical principles, conduit, circuitry, power, and distribution
· Willing to travel and work out of town, local to Vancouver Island, BC Coast & Lower Mainland
· Must own required hand tools, tool belt and basic PPE
· Driver's abstract must be provided at interview stage
· Team oriented, positive attitude with solid communication and leadership skills
· Inclusive, respectful demeanor and capable of working in a diverse environment

· References

Preference given to applicants with:
· 2-3 years of RSE level electrical installation experience preferred
· Knowledge and understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code
· Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to lead with a collaborative, team-based approach
· Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
