Details
We are seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at A Step A-Head Engine & Machine Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair, while taking pride in quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Replace and repair engine components, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other mechanical parts.
• Assist with shop maintenance and organization.

Qualifications & Experience
Experience
• Must be fully ticketed Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or Commercial Truck Transport
• All applicants must have a valid BC driver's license
• Authorized Inspector Certificate with CVSE or willingness to obtain is preferred
• Experience in engine rebuilding and repair considered an asset but will train the right applicant
Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies
• Truck and Machine diagnostic and repair skills are considered an asset;
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision
