In partnership with the Ministry of Health, Island Health is offering a life-changing career path through the Health Career Access Program (HCAP). This program allows you to gain paid employment as a Health Care Support Worker while receiving the training and education necessary to become a registered Health Care Aide.

Important Note: These positions are being offered through the Health Career Access Program (HCAP). This program requires you to be a permanent resident of Canada. The program requires a minimum Grade 10 English if educated in Canada. If a permanent resident you will need a recent recognized English Assessment (IELTS or CLBPT) or English Proficiency results. Please be aware that this is a full time, 24/7 commitment for 24 months between working and or going to school. You will be required to work all shifts which could be days/evenings or nights, between Monday through Sundays.

Qualifications & Experience
Grade 10, including successful completion of English 10 or equivalency. Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.
