K'awat'si Construction Company is seeking a Painter who is Highly specialized in residential & commercial projects, we require the well-tuned talent of a skilled professional. With some of our largest and most intricate projects in the queue, we’re seeking an experienced Red Seal Painter to bring their industry and trade expertise to the KCC team. Working directly with the General Manager and leadership team, this highly specialized Painter will ensure they create the highest quality experience of all internal and external project partners and collaborators, resulting in exceptional output, timely completion of all projects and leadership in proactive and solutions-focused communication every step of the way.

Qualifications and Skills:
-Working phone and adequate data plan to cover site documentation and time submissions for payroll.
-Current Fall protection training.
-Proficiency in email, written and verbal communication.
-Analytical skills including estimation, measuring, creating material lists and prioritizing tasks.
-Ability to work independently and in a team environment, able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
-Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Well-developed interpersonal and organization skills.
-Knowledge of paint and other coatings, with profound knowledge of applications and best practices.
-Ability to work at heights and to display good judgement around accessing hard to reach areas, with a focus on safety and productivity.
-Knowledge of safety equipment and proper use of PPE including but not limited to respirators, eye protection, hearing protection, safety footwear, fall restraint etc.
-Surface preparation and application of decorative coatings.
-Site protection and keeping jobsites organized and uncluttered.
-Displays good judgement on safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
-Drywall patching and extensive surface preparation work experience is essential.
-Procore knowledge an asset.
Job Requirement:
-2+ years of related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience.
-Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology is an asset.
-Demonstrated negotiation/management skills is an asset.
-Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, anticipate stakeholder needs, and proactively identify solutions.
-Set a good example by demonstrating reliability, engagement, and passion about the work.
-Ability to work collaboratively with the KCC construction Team.
