K'awat'si Construction Company is looking for a Carpenter / Foreman who is highly specialized in residential & commercial projects, we require the well-tuned talent of a skilled professional. With some of our largest and most intricate projects in the queue, we’re seeking an experienced Carpenter / Foreman to bring their industry and trade expertise to the KCC team. Working directly with the Site Superintendent and leadership team, this highly specialized Carpenter / Foreman will ensure they create the highest quality experience for all internal and external project partners and collaborators, resulting in exceptional output, timely completion of all projects and leadership in proactive and solutions-focused communication every step of the way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
Work with the Site Superintendent to produce schedules and monitor the attendance of crew.
Allocate general and daily responsibilities with the site Superintendent.
Supervise and train workers and tradespeople.
Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
Work with the Site Superintendent to monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
Resolve problems when they arise.
Report on progress to Managers and superintendents.
Supervise a crew of 2-4 carpenters during construction projects.
Oversee construction framing, cribbing & finishing tasks.
Assign tasks to workers.
Complete tasks as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Physical stamina to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
Attention to detail.
Organizational and time management skills
QA / QC reports and follow up.
A valid driver's license.
Qualifications & Experience
Education and Experience Requirements:

4-10 years of related work experience or combination of relevant education and experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology.
Demonstrated negotiation/management skills.
Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule.
Understanding of construction costs and budgets.
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, anticipate stakeholder needs, and proactively identify solutions.
Capable of identifying constructability issues in moderately complex situations and creating solutions in the construction plans and schedules.
Certificate, diploma, or University Degree an asset.
Advanced Computer Skills with the ability to use MS Office, with proficiency in Word, excel, outlook, MS Project & Procore or similar an asset.
Ability to work collaboratively with the KCC construction Team.
Applicable ticket(s) to operate machinery.
