Details
Over view:
- Provide guidance and care for 12-15 school aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in a fully licensed facility.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to engage and educate children
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of the children

Hours:
Split shift: 7am-9am and 2:00pm - 530pm Monday-Friday
Enjoy a 5-hour midday break for errands or appointments during regular school days.
Adjusted work hours for professional development days, spring break, and summer periods.

Wages to start:
ECE’s: $22 an hour plus $6 gov wage enhancement
ECEA, EA: $20 per hour
RA or equivalent: $18 per hour
Salary is open to negotiation and will be determined based on the candidate's experience and education level.

Benefits:
-4% vacation pay added to each cheque
-5 hour break midday 9am-2pm during the school year

Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with children in a childcare centre.
- ECE (preferred) ECEA, EA, responsible adult certification, or equivalent.
- First aid and CPR/criminal records check
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexible and reliable
Must be 19 years of age or currently enrolled in an ECE program
