Position is currently based in Port McNeill, but may change with the needs of the children receiving Supported Child Development Program services. You will be responsible for providing extra staffing support to the child care center in order for children with extra support needs to fully participate in the child care setting chosen by their family. Our ideal new team member can manage time well and has both planning and organizational skills. You will be able to establish and maintain a supportive and collaborative relationship with families and child care setting staff. This is a salary position with paid holidays and benefits .
Qualifications & Experience:
- Early Childhood Education Special Needs and Current license to practice as an Early Childhood Educator Special Needs Educator
- First Aid Certificate
- Three years supervised experience in inclusive child care settings
- Hold a valid drivers license and have a road worthy vehicle
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of early childhood development
