North Vancouver Island Aboriginal Training Society has 3 immediate job openings for a Life Skills/Employment Readiness Facilitators in our Campbell River Office.
This is a full time term position.
The duties include but are not limited to:
•Interview clients to obtain employment history, educational background and career goals;
•Identify barriers to employment and assist clients with such matters as job readiness skills, job search strategies, writing résumés and preparing for job interviews;
•Facilitate Life Skills and Employment Readiness Skills Workshops in a group setting;
•Oversee work placements and act as a Liaison between Employers and Employees during work experience.
This is a full time term position.

Qualifications & Experience:
The applicant will ideally hold a Career Development Practitioner Certificate, Workshop Facilitator Training or college diploma in a related field, such as psychology, social services or education, or 3 years of relevant work experience in this field and knowledge of the local First Nations. Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and use of a vehicle as travel is required.
