Looking for shake and shingle block cutter(s) with strong work ethic and ample experience to join our company based out of Sayward on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. As this permanent, full time position entails working in remote areas, flexible scheduling allows for employees to work a camp type rotation, shift work or other arrangement at their discretion pending confirmation by the employer the arrangement meets company needs. Temporary accommodation can be supplied to employees in the means of a travel trailer or similar located near the job site and the position pays competitive wages that increase with experience, skills and abilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experienced Cutters need only apply. Based on the nature of the locations of the work, applicants should be mechanically inclined, work well under pressure and in potentially stressful situations, and have excellent problem solving abilities. You must have your own gear, a class five drivers license at minimum, although air brake endorsement would be an asset as well and reflected in wages. Successful candidate must also either have current First Aid or be willing to obtain.
