Details:
Residential Care Workers ensure the physical and psychological well-being of children and youth with emotional, behavioural, mental health and/or developmental needs. RCWs manages the day to day activities of the home including accompanying the children and youth to activities and appointments, grocery shopping, teaching life skills, meal preparation and cleanup, completing daily logs and other reports as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral support needs or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Food Safe level 1 Certification
• Clear Criminal Record check through CRRP and MCFD
• Clear Child Welfare Check through MCFD
• Clear Health Certificate and T.B test
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle with a minimum of 1 million insurance coverage
• Clear and Current Driver’s Abstract.
• Preferred :A diploma in human/social services or a related field or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
