Details: Cari’s Infant and Toddler Centre is a Licensed Group Day Care (under 36 months) and is seeking a new member of the childcare team responsible for program planning, implementation and evaluation.
The team ensures a safe and nurturing childcare environment for children under the age of 3 and supports the Campbell River Young Parents’ Program.
The position begins August 29.22 and is expected to be a permanent full time position. Cari’s staff are unionized with BCGEU and enjoy health and welfare benefits, paid leaves, job security and excellent working conditions as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
Qualifications & Experience:
A minimum of Early Childhood Educator certification is required, with preference given to certified Infant and Toddler Educators.
Special Needs Educator certification is also an asset.
Candidates will have current Community Care Emergency First Aid (or equivalent) certification and be subject to a Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Review.
At least 2 years of previous experience working in licensed group child care is desired, and experience working with children under the age of 3 and/or with young parents is a strong asset.
Candidates must have strong communication skills, the ability to work well as part of a caregiving team, and be able and eager to maintain high program standards.
