Responsibilities Include:
• Planning, organizing, implementing community-based recreational and social activities.
• Providing skill-building to individuals such as life skills and social skills; models appropriate behaviour.
• Using positive behavioural supports at all times to ensure the safety and dignity of individuals served, community members, and yourself.
• Communicating with the family and caregiver of the individual served.
Hours and Compensation:
• Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1:00 pm – 5 pm. (Alternative days can be discussed).
• Additional shift on Saturdays, hours to be determined with successful candidate.
• This is a CLBC Funded Position. Starting wage of $23.00 per hour.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Double vaccinated
• Related experience in the field and/or post- secondary certification related to support for people with developmental disabilities
• Class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and a personal vehicle
• Clear Criminal Record Check
