Details:
This is an enriching experience for those who would like to learn more about the Long Term Care setting. The successful applicant will be involved in a range of activity programs and outings, assist with completion of Accreditation surveys, set up a water feature and support other resident gardening activities, work with a resident to set up a Podcast, and support residents and their families through virtual visits.
The position will be full time from June 20 to August 16, 2022.
Qualifications & Experience:
Funding for this enriching Summer Student position is made possible by the Canada Summer Jobs program. All applicants music be under the age of 30, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, legally entited to work in BC. International students do not quality.
Preference will be given to a post secondary student studying for a Health Care Career, Recreation Therapy or Social Services.
The position requires those passionate about the care of seniors.
The applicant must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19.
