THE OPPORTUNITY
Western Forest Products is seeking a Coastal Log Scaler with experience preferably in BC Coastal logging, to join our Mid Island Forest Operations in Menzies Bay on Vancouver Island, BC.
This is an hourly United Steel Worker (USW) union position with a wage rate of $39.71 per hour and comprehensive benefits and pension.
The position requires the ability to work on day shifts.

Qualifications & Experience:
-Currently hold a valid BC Coastal Scaling License;
-Must be fully qualified (min 2 years of experience) in all aspects of BC Coastal Scaling.
-6 x 3 shift
-Safe Work Practices and excellent safety record;
-Log Scaling/Grading according to WFP log sorts and specifications;
-HBS Scribner scale, WFP log sorts, codes and grades; and
-Must be in good physical condition.
