Level 1 operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Tube Park and all Magic carpets. Their job is to ensure the guests are safe and happy while having fun and working as a team. There are various jobs to be done during the day from loading and unloading guests on the conveyor lift (magic carpet), ticket checking, sending guests down the Tubing lanes, and helping them exit the lanes safely at the bottom. You will play a key role in providing a positive experience for guests of all ages and abilities. A passion for working outdoors and a love of the alpine experience is a must. This position is well suited for those who may not have a lot of snowboard or ski experience and are looking to get into the ski industry.
It is important to know that most of a Tube Operators' time is spent working in all weather conditions from snow, sun, and rain, to extreme cold and wind. This position will also require you to be on your feet for the majority of your scheduled shift. Please be aware that Tube Park Operators work with and around straw because we use it to help slow guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a high level of customer service while assisting guests in a friendly, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Help with set up and tare down up of the Tube Park e.g. maze gates, crash pads, snow removal, rolling up fences, and straw.
- Safe operation of the Tube Park and conveyor lifts.
- Safely send guests down the Tubing lanes.
- Maintain a safe run out, (the stopping area at the end of the lanes).
- Validate all guest’s tickets and check for misuse.
- Maintain the load and unload ramps of the conveyor lifts, this will help with the guest's safety.
- Be punctual, arrive to work alert, fit and ready to work.
- Maintain a respectable level of personal appearance and care for your issued uniform.
- The Tube Park Supervisors and Lift Operations Supervisors may have additional tasks to complete.
- Keep a positive upbeat attitude while at work. If you’re having fun they will be having fun.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be able to maintain a calm and friendly manner during our busy periods and professionalism during the quieter periods.
- Previous customer service experience is not required but is an asset.
- Enjoy working with the public of all age groups.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must work well in a team environment and be a team player.
- Be available for a minimum of 2 shifts a week (flexible between weekday or weekends).
- Be available to work major holidays including but not limited to: Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Years Day, and Spring Break.
- Must be able to stay and work for the full winter season (Dec-Mid April).
