Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience
Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager
Your Opportunity:

We have an opening for a talented, experienced Executive Chef. Our Executive Chef is a working chef who is responsible for planning menus, preparing food, and managing staff and budgets. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent communication and team management skills, a professional appearance, and the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of multiple restaurants, bistros, cafeterias, as well as our bustling catering business.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage staff. Supervise activities of sous-chefs, chefs, and cooks.
- Consult with guests regarding weddings, banquets, and other specialty catering functions.
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
- Estimate food requirements and labour costs.
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
- Prepare and cook food, and work in all food service areas as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10 years' culinary experience, including experience supervising staff.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of kitchen operations.
- Commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to set priorities for self and others.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to develop and motivate staff.
- Food Safe certification.
- Good working knowledge of business software tools, including Excel and Word.
- Able to multi-task and work in all food service areas as required.

- Physically able to bend, kneel, twist, walk, lift and carry items of moderate weight, and stand for long periods of time.
- Previous resort experience an asset.
- Available for a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during key operating seasons.
The Executive Chef will be required to work longer shifts as business needs require, especially during our busy winter season.
