Mosaic is growing and seeking a Manager, Facilities to work out of our Nanaimo or Nanoose Bay offices on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Logistics, the Manager, Facilities will be responsible for operations at Log Sorts throughout Mosaic’s operations on Vancouver Island. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
> Ensuring exemplary safety performance;
> Ensuring sound environmental management;
> Ensuring contract compliance;
> Managing on-site contractors and operational site performance;
> Managing on-site inventory;
> Managing site maintenance;
> Managing site infrastructure developments;
> Planning and managing site budgets;
> Tracking and reporting operations metrics;
> Supporting corporate and site development initiatives;
> Conducting contract negotiations;
> Working with the product planning team on capacity planning; and
> Working with the log hauling team to establish appropriate delivery planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
> 5+ years experience in operations, facility management OR quality control/scaling;
> Class 5 driver’s license;
> RPF, RFT, or other relevant professional designation, degree or diploma will be considered an asset;
> Ability to manage contractor relations and budgets;
> Superior interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
> Incident investigation experience;
> Team player;
> Experience using inventory management and planning programs; and
> Experience with labour relations will be considered an asset.
