Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Days, 5 days (40 hrs) per week, MUST join the Yard Union
Compensation:
$20/hour

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Location: primarily at the yard located at 1390 Homewood Road, Campbell River, BC with the occasional work on various job sites.
Qualifications & Experience:
Job Duties:
· Assisting customers in the yard
· Entering customer orders into the computer
· Tracking inventory; gear coming to and from the yard and to the various job sites
· Working as a material handler at various job sites when required.
· Loading/unloading delivery vehicles in a safe manner.
· Order picking, ensuring accuracy
· Counting, stacking, bundling and organizing scaffold gear
· Making orders and processing incoming equipment.
· Safety checks of gear and equipment
· Keeping yard clean and organized
· May operate company vehicle to deliver gear to customer or project sites
· Understand and adhere to the company’s and provincial and company safe work practices and regulations
Job Requirements:
· Driver’s license is a must
· Forklift experience is a must, with a licence preferred.
· Previous work experience in an Order Picker or Material Handler role preferred
· Strength and ability to lift items in excess of up to 75 lbs
· Punctual and reliable with reliable means of travel to/from work
· Must be able to work 5 days (40 hrs) per week and overtime if necessary.
· Ability to travel occasionally to various job sites and work as a material handler
· Be a quick learner and take direction from others
· Work well with others
· Good communication skills
· Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
· Be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
· Scaffold knowledge or forklift license not necessary but an asset
· MUST join the Yard Union
