In the role as Administrative Assistant for Finance, you will have the opportunity to:
- Support the Finance Department with its main accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll while providing general administrative and office management duties
- Use your excellent organizational skills to monitor record retention schedules and inventory records
- Tap into your creativity to develop catchy job postings and assist with onboarding new employees
- Assist with the preparation of the agency’s annual budgets and provide assistance with year-end auditor requests
- Support the agency with other critical projects

WAGE
Wage: $43,758.80 – $49,357.30 annually, depending on experience.
Preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Métis or Inuit as per Section 41 of the BC Human Rights Code.
Qualifications & Experience:
What You Will Bring to the Role:
- Completion of Grade 12 and at least one bookkeeping or accounting course.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a finance or accounting department.
- Experience with financial documentation management, records retention and destruction periods.
- Experience using accounting software, specifically the Jonas System, is considered an asset.
- Current B.C. Class 5 Driver’s license and access to a safe reliable vehicle is an asset.
- Clear criminal records check.
- Experience working within the Indigenous community and with Indigenous people.
