COMPANY: Fresh Start Health Retreat, operating from 4384 South Island Hwy, V9H 1E8
PAY: $18, after probation $19
STARTING DATE: June 20-25
HOURS: The work is available during Fresh Start Retreats and you are off in-between.
So you’ll work about 3 weeks in a row (55-75 hrs per 3 weeks), alternating with 3 weeks off.

SHIFT HOURS: Morning Shift 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Evening Shift 1:00-7:30 (8:30) p.m.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Since we are a small company, we cross-train the kitchen team in all kitchen/housekeeping duties.
This is not a purely Chef Position: in addition to meal preparation, you'll be doing a variety of tasks, such as:
• Prepare vegan & raw meals, prepare health drinks, do dishes
• Food ordering/purchasing
• Housekeeping of the Spa Centre and spa laundry
• Set-up/ clean-up of Infrared Sauna and Salt Cocoon, pack guest custom supplements
• Be in a chef assistant role when another chef on duty (plating, serving, cutting, etc.)
Qualifications & Experience:
CERTIFICATION/ SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Ability to prepare for a group of 20-25 people
• 3+ years experience of working in a commercial kitchen
• Knowledge/ experience in vegetarian and vegan food preparation
• Current BC Food Safe and First Aid Level I - if you do not have them, you’d be required to get them upon being hired
