The North Island Crisis & Counselling Centre Society, a multi-services agency, is seeking a full-time Women’s Counsellor to join our amazing team.
The Stopping the Violence Program provides counselling to women who have experienced sexual assault, violence in relationships, childhood abuse and/or violence, or who are facing these situations now.
You will work to help women identify issues and concerns, strengths and resources; offer woman-centered support combined with a range of counselling approaches to promote recovery; provide education about the effects of trauma on the mind, body and spirit; help women learn healthy coping strategies and healthy boundaries; act in an advocacy capacity and provide referrals.

Qualifications & Experience:
Preferred qualifications include a post-secondary degree in Counselling, Social Work, and 2 years’ experience; however candidates with an acceptable combination of education and work experience will be considered
