Job title: Remote Camps and Marine Services Manager
Work Location: Camps/various locations
Division/Department: 980
Reports to: Marines Services-GM and BD&L Manager
Purpose: To work directly with clients and tradespeople to define, estimate & execute projects of varying scope and size
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Marine Services:
Managing the refit, repair and construction of commercial vessels while ensuring the desired work is completed on time and on budget
Working directly with clients to determine the scope of project and prepare estimates based on the agreed upon scope
Working with the management team to produce bids based on project specifications
Develop and manage project schedules, updating as the project scope evolves
Reporting on found deficiencies and submitting updated cost quotes to clients
Ensure all project and contract requirements are fulfilled in the required sequence with the required deliverables
Communicating project purchasing needs to purchasing department
Leading the project team and hosting project meetings with crew, management and clients on a regular basis
Leading the project team in resolving project related challenges and non-conformities
Performing the final review of projects including vessel checks focusing on quality assurance deliverables
Performing project administration duties such as document control, project tracking & invoicing
Ensuring all project activities are carried out in line with safety, quality & environmental standards
All other duties as assigned
Remote Camp Services:
· Managing the day-to-day activities of an assigned camp.
· Uphold camp and workplace health and safety standards.
· Meet with clients and provide quality customer service by addressing their special requests and concerns in a prompt and effective manner.
· Supervising, training and managing staff performance issues.
· Manage staff scheduling, payroll and daily and weekly meetings.
· Inspecting, evaluating and ensuring the camp cleanliness, food quality and presentation and controlling inventory to meet or exceed expectation.
· Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports.
· Maintain project budget, tracking occupancy, staffing and monitoring expenses.
· Performing administrative tasks which include liaisons with the client, managing room bookings, preparing reports.
· Troubleshooting minor maintenance problems if necessary.
· All other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Qualifications & Experience:
3+ years of similar experience
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
